Cobblestone Farms was opened in the summer of 2013 and is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Bill and Toni Sweet.
Bill is originally from Empire, MI and graduated from Glen Lake High School in 1989 before joining the US Air Force (1989-1999) and then the US Department of Homeland Security (2002 to 2013) for a total of 22 years of federal service. Bill is now running Cobblestone Farms with his best friend, wife and boss and does just about everything on the farm from being the marketer, wedding planner, ordained minister, carpenter and well, just about everything else you can think of or whatever else Toni tells him to do.
Toni is originally from Saginaw, MI and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1988 before moving to Traverse City and attending Northwestern Michigan College where she obtained her nursing degree in 1991. Toni had been an RN for almost 30 years but has recently semi-retired from nursing to focus on the farm. Toni is for sure the creative one here on the farm and is always coming up with new and exciting things to do out here. And finally, her other job is being Bill's boss and ordering him around out here on the farm, which I can tell you she is an expert at.
We bring a personal touch (AND A LOT OF HUGS) to all our weddings that most venues simply cannot and we do it without needing a small army of wedding employees to do so. And no matter what changes or improvements we make, we will always be a wedding venue first. As far as we know, we are also the only venue owners who work each and every one of our weddings from start to finish and we do that so we can ensure that your wedding day is even better than you could have ever imagined it would be!
